An antiviral medication is called Famciclovir 500mg Tablet. It is used to treat infections brought on by herpes viruses, such as shingles (a viral infection that causes painful rashes or blisters on the skin), cold sores (small, painful blisters around the mouth or other areas of the face), and genital herpes (a sexually transmitted infection that causes sores in the genital and anal area). It is also used to treat people with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection who experience recurrent episodes of herpes simplex infections, which affect the mouth or genital area (a condition that occurs when the virus attacks the immune system and interferes with your body’s ability to fight infections or diseases).
